This job market really is insane. I’ve been looking for a job for over a year and a half now and I’ve been to countless interviews with nothing to show for it. How am I supposed to afford living if I can’t even be given the time of day even for a denial? Sitting like a duck all day waiting for responses just to call a few days later and hear they have the position filled. It’s ridiculous. Im spanning my job search 60miles each direction still nada. It feels so bleak.

Employers are increasingly blurring job titles and mixing responsibilities to squeeze more work out of employees without proper compensation or recognition. A common example is in retail, where a job listing for a “visual merchandiser” may actually require employees to take on sales duties, stock inventory, and perform other tasks unrelated to visual merchandising. Workers are expected to handle multiple roles without the appropriate support, training, or pay. WTF?

If you get invited for an interview while you currently have a job, do you take time off work to go to that interview?

I am a customer service driven person. I believe you should treat others as you would want to be treated. During my supervisory period, I treated all my customers with respect and dignity. You get what you give. So please remember the golden rule " do unto others as you will have them do unto you."
